First, it’s important to know a little about Kartra and what they can help you with.
Kartra is going to be the newer software when being compared to Kajabi.
As it’s shown in the screenshot that I took from Kartra’s homepage, their tagline is:
Your online business made easy.
In my opinion, Kartra is certainly a software that can do exactly that for you.
Aside from making your online business easier, Kartra is also helpful for:
- Creating, marketing, and launching online.
- All without hiring copywriters, web developers, designers, or system integrators.
In a nutshell, Kartra is well known for the landing pages and sales funnels.
However, they offer quite a wide variety of features and tools that you can use.
Before continuing on to their features, Kartra also comes with a trial that costs $1.
Even better, you can extend their trial to a full 30-days.

So what does this newer online software have to offer that you’re going to like?
Let’s start with one of their biggest features first.
Kartra Landing Pages
Down below are two of the biggest reasons why people first come across Kartra:
- Creating landing pages.
- Creating high-converting sales funnels.
Given that reason, I’ll be talking more about these two specific Kartra features.
This is also where there’s going to be a lot of overlap when it comes to Kartra vs Kajabi.
Anyway, Kartra kickstarts the process by having you choose from many templates.
Kartra Vs Kajabi Templates: Both have a great variety of templates to choose from.
However, I would have to say that Kajabi’s templates look a little more professional.
Templates might not seem like a very big deal, but they can certainly help you out.
After all, templates are great for:
- Allowing you to get most of the work done on your landing pages.
- Allowing you to launch quicker (speed is always a good thing).
It’s the same phenomenon that happens when you’re staring at a blank screen.
The same thing can happen when it comes to creating pages and sales funnels.
That’s why I recommend starting with a template.
Kartra also offers templates for a wide variety of many different landing pages.
What’s great about Kartra is that they make it easy to get the ball rolling with your pages.
Similar to Kajabi as I’ll talk about later, it’s about following a series of steps laid out for you.
Kartra happens to use a color that might be harder to see on the screenshot added above.
With that being said, I’ll add a quick list of the pages that Kartra allows you to create:
- Webinar registrations.
- Squeeze/lead generation pages.
- Long sales and video sales pages.
- Thank you / congratulation pages.
- Product launch and product review.
All of those different landing pages come with many templates that you can use.
Plus, you can create more landing pages that aren’t listed in the picture above.
The sky is going to be the limit for you.
So after choosing your template, you get taken to the drag and drop editor that they offer.

When it comes to the Kartra drag and drop builder, there’s a lot of flexibility.
Allow me to quickly walk you through the process of how their builder works.
If you look at the top of the picture above, your pages can be optimized for:
- Tablet.
- Mobile.
- Desktop.
This is helpful because you want to convert on every type of viewing platform.
This is also a pretty standard feature when it comes to creating landing pages.
Now using the same screenshot above, let’s take a look at the left side of the editor.
There are quite a few editable blocks which include:
- Components.
- Footer bar.
- Pop-windows.
- Sections.
- Settings.
- Styles.
- Pop-windows.

There’s also a section for utilizing a helpdesk or adding any type of tracking code.
Out of all of those editable blocks, I think that you’ll really like the Sections tab:

They are specific sections that you can drag and drop to your landing page.
It’s like getting even more of the work done for you.
I mention this because it’s yet another great way to get up and running much faster.

- Helpful tracking analytics.
- Being 100% mobile responsive.
- Having well over 500 page and section templates for more customization.
Speaking of customization, you can customize everything on the inside of Kartra.
Similar to Kajabi, Kartra also offers a nice little feature for increasing your conversions.
This feature is referred to as Kartra popups.
I personally love popups and try to use them as much as possible when it comes to:
- Generating more clicks.
- Generating more targeted leads.
- And you can’t forget about increasing your ales too.
Kartra also offers a couple of ways to publish the landing pages that you can create.

So depending on the mood that you’re in, there are two options for publishing your work:
- Host the page on Kartra.
- Publish it on your own custom domain.
That easy decision will ultimately be up to you and the direction that you want to go.
So in case you were wondering, you can use your own custom domains with Kartra.
Kartra vs Kabaji Domains: Both offer the ability to utilize custom domains.
So that’s a quick overview of creating marketing pages with the Kartra editor.
You can always try them for yourself to get a much better feel for what they offer:
Aside from pages, you can also create sales funnels with what Kartra has to offer.
So with that being said, let’s take a look at the process for sales funnels next.
Kartra Advanced Sales Funnels And Campaigns
The picture above is a great representation of Kartra’s sales funnels and campaigns.
First, you have a layout of the landing pages that are used which include:
- Lead capture page.
- Sales page.
- Checkout pages.
- Upsell page.
- Lastly is the thank you page.
Then the automation magic takes place when someone goes from one page to the next.
So whenever one of your visitors takes a specific action, you can then do things like:
- Add or remove a tag.
- Send a specific and targeted email.
- Grant access (like to a membership area).
I would have to say that this is very similar to what ActiveCampaign can do (email wise).

So in case you didn’t know, Kartra has its own email marketing platform for you to use.
In my opinion, it’s what really allows you to power up your sales funnels.
I’ll talk a little bit more about Kartra mail later though.
Here is something that is very unique to many other sales funnel platforms out there.

Kartra vs Kajabi update. Kartra has a big upper-hand when it comes to having done for you campaigns.
This is going to be a saving grace for many online business owners who use Kartra.
I talked previously about how templates help with getting started faster.
Now, Kartra also offers complete done for you campaigns as well.
With these campaigns, you get most of the important stuff done for you which includes:
- Landing pages.
- Complete sales funnels.
- All of your proper sequencing.
This is quite the popular perk, given the fact that no other sales funnel builder offers this.

Even better, these campaigns weren’t created by some random marketing guru either.
They were created by two amazing online marketers such as:

In fact, these campaigns were responsible for millions of dollars generated in the past.

Then I would highly recommend taking a look at the done for you campaigns they offer.

So when it comes to both Kartra and Kajabi, you’ll need some type of:
- Offer.
- Service.
- Or product to sell.
Then again, you could always use landing pages for affiliate marketing efforts.
Either way, let’s take a look at the next feature that will help you sell more.
Kartra Checkout Pages
This feature continues on with the theme of giving you everything that you need.
In other words, Kartra comes with checkout pages for selling any product or offer.
In Case You Didn’t Know: Checkout pages is just another way to say shopping carts.
This is an essential feature, given the fact that you’ll be needing to make sales.
This feature allows you to sell much more, with a much easier process too.
Heck, Kartra even states that they can replace what eCommerce platforms offer.
In my opinion, that’s going to depend on what you’re going to be selling in the first place.
- eCommerce platforms are perfect for eCommerce.
- Kartra is perfect for anything non-eCommerce.
At least that’s the conclusions I’ve come to with those two marketing automation platforms.
There is always the option to integrate those platforms above, but enough of that for now.
Kartra’s checkout pages is yet another feature that comes with a plethora of perks.
With their checkout pages, you get everything you need to sell products and services:
- There’s flexibility with multiple price points.
- You can use 1-click transactions for your previous customers.
- You can also sell an unlimited amount of products (with the Silver plan and higher).
Kartra also offers upsells, downsell, as well as the coveted order bump feature.
The order bump is a feature that I’m constantly raving about.

Kartra vs Kajabi Sales Tool: Both offer the ability to use upsells and order bumps.
So that’s only a little bit of information when it comes to their checkout pages.
When it comes to your customers’ purchasing, they have the freedom to pick from:
- PayPal.
- Credit card.
- Or the use of both.
From my experience, it’s also good to offer multiple options for payment.
Simply because there will be a few types of buyers that you come across:
- Some will only want to pay with PayPal.
- Some will only want to pay with a credit card.
- Some don’t really care and would pay with Monopoly money if they could.
So make sure that you accommodate all of the different types of buyers.
Aside from being paid, Kartra also offer a few different payment options for your customers.
In terms of payments, Kartra allows you to utilize:
- One-time sales.
- Recurring payments.
- As well as finite installments.
- You can also use trials and initial payments as well.
While their checkout page is simple, it comes with a lot of flexibility and customization.
Don’t forget about discounts and special promotions too.
There are plenty of perks that you can use in order to increase your sales.

So that’s what you can expect when looking to sell your products, offers, or services.
Let’s move onto another feature that is very similar to what Kajabi offers.
Kartra Memberships Tool
As stated earlier, Kartra is most well-known for its landing pages and sales funnels.
However, their membership sites don’t seem to get enough credit.
In fact, this was my favorite Kartra feature the first time that I used them.
It was a breath of fresh air compared to what other platforms had to offer.
However, both Kartra and Kajabi have stellar membership sections.
Allow me to talk a little bit about the process for creating membership sites.
As always, you’re going to start by picking one of the templates that they have.
Once again, you have a look at the screenshot down below for a few examples:
Aside from picking your templates, you can easily change your color theme as well.
It’s easy to do as you just click on the color that you’d like to use.
Helpful Note: It’s a much better process than manually changing every single aspect.
Another great aspect of their membership sites would be their drag and drop builder.
It’s just like the drag and drop builder that you use for your landing pages.
This is definitely a good thing.
Simply for the fact that creating your membership sites is also a very simple process.
It’s a pretty smooth drag and drop builder, and it allows you to:
- Setup your lessons however you want.
- Upload videos, audio, or any other type of files.
- There’s the option for drip-feeding the content in your courses.
- There’s also the option for multiple membership tiers with different price points.
I added a screenshot of an example membership site that I first worked on with Kartra.
You’ll notice that the builder is just about the same as when creating marketing pages:
There’s another membership perk that both Kartra and Kajabi offers.
So Kartra comes with the perk of having single sign-on credentials for customers.
This means that each customer gets just one login for all of the products they buy.
This is a big benefit for you and your future growing customer base.
You’ll know what I mean if you’ve already:
- Sold quite a few products online.
- Bought multiple products from the same person.
It’s just always easier to have everything under one login and location.
Kartra also adds a little piece of gamification to their membership sites too.
In fact, they get a notification badge after finishing your course or training.
Kartra also goes out on a limb to say that they are better than two other platforms:
- Thinkific.
- Teachable.
And ironically enough? I happen to agree with that statement overall.
Considering the fact that they offer much more than both of those other online platforms.

All in all, Kartra does a great job at handling both sales funnels and membership sites.

So by now, there’s been a lot of overlap when it comes to Kartra vs Kajabi.
Let’s now take a look at a few more features where Kartra certainly has the edge.
After all, you’re going to need to help your customers after you make those sales.
Kartra Helpdesks
When it comes to sales funnel builders, Kartra is the first company I’ve seen to add this.
Plus, it really cements the fact that you get everything you need all in one spot.
This is also helpful because you won’t need to get a separate customer support tool.
Examples of those separate helpdesk tools include:
- ZenDesk.
- HelpDesk.
- FreshDesk.
I’m sure that there are plenty more too but those are some of the big companies.
While this feature is a small once, they certainly added a lot of details to it.
When it comes to the Kartra helpdesk, you can help your customers by the means of:
- Skype.
- Phone.
- Live chat.
- A ticketing system.
You always have the option when it comes to how you want to help your customers.
You also have the ability to host your helpdesk on your website or with Kartra:
When it comes to more customer support perks, Kartra even offers self-billing portals.
This allows customers access to all of their transactional information.
In other words, your customers can make updates by themself.
One last thing, Kartra also comes with the ability to utilize a FAQ type of section.
This will allow your questions to seek specific help before reaching out to your support.
This is beneficial because:
- It saves time for everyone.
- Most importantly, it increases customer satisfaction.
All in all, the Kartra helpdesk is a great feature for those who will need customer support.
Kartra vs Kajabi Helpdesk: Kartra wins this simply for having this feature.
Kartra still has plenty more to offer when it comes to building and growing your business.
Let’s take a look at yet another feature that both Kartra and Kajabi have.
Kartra Video Hosting And Much More
It’s as if the growth of video is neverending, so it’s great to see both companies offer this.
As Kartra themselves has stated, after viewers watch a video:
They are 64-85% more likely to buy.
Helpful Note: I do happen to agree that video is a very important aspect of converting.
So while you’re creating your landing pages and funnels, you’ll want to add videos as well.
And you might have guessed it here, but both Kartra and Kajabi offer video hosting.
When it comes to Kartra video, there’s certainly a lot to like too.
In fact, one of the biggest perks of using video with Kartra is this:
Kartra will host all of your videos (which can save you a bunch of money).
Kajabi will also do that too, and their video hosting is unlimited!
This is beneficial because you won’t need to utilize a video hosting platform like:
This is for the fact that you won’t need video hosting platforms such as:
- Wisita.
- Vimeo.
- Spotlightr.
- Sproutvideo.
I’ve used a couple of these platforms and they cost a few hundred dollars yearly.
Helpful Note: The pricing is highly dependant on the plan that you end up picking.

As shown in the picture that I added above, there are quite a few settings to customize.
So there’s much more to it than just adding your videos to your pages and memberships.
Here’s a quick list of what you can do with some of the settings shown above:
- Display: choose if you want your video to be embedded or a pop-up.
- Settings: choose if you want to show controls, watermarks, logos, colors, etc.
- Call to action: tell your audience exactly what they should do when watching your video.
- Tag leads: this is helpful because it allows you to utilize your marketing automation for later.
I want to talk a little bit more about the section when it comes to your call to action.
When your visitors are watching your videos, your call to action can include:
- Opt-ins.
- Captions.
- Image banners.
- Caption and a button.
Kartra even has a call to action for a social share if you want to leverage that option.
I’ll add a screenshot down below where you can see a few of the CTA’s yourself:
These specific calls to action can be timed to appear whenever you like as well.
- So whenever you reveal the price for a product that you’re selling?
- That’s what you add the call to action button.

- If you’re doing a valuable video and talk about signing up for your newsletter?
- That’s exactly when you’d be adding your call to action.
Kartra put a lot of thought and effort into micro-features like this which is nice.
And as they should be, your videos will work on any type of device for watching.
Last but not least, Kartra comes with the ability to keep track of your stats.
A few of the helpful stats that you can track include:
- Plays.
- Visitors.
- Completes.
- Call to action (who clicked it).
- As well as the average watch time.
Using video certainly opens up a whole lot of possibilities when it comes to your marketing.
Another big advantage that Kartra has over Kajabi would be the number of features they have.
In fact, I’ve been writing way too much about Kartra so far.

As you can also see in the screenshot that I added above of the Kajabi homepage:
- Kajabi has been around for at least a decade (which is pretty darn impressive).
- They have had the opportunity to help over 50,000 business owners in the process.
Here is one more big point that you can get from the Kajabi homepage.
Kajabi’s customers have made over 1.5 billion dollars on their platform to date.
So those are some of the little details when it comes to Kajabi.
But what does Kajabi do exactly?
They are an all-in-one platform that will help you launch your online business in minutes.
Kajabi is also beneficial when it comes to helping you create:
- Landing pages.
- Online courses.
- Marketing campaigns.
Similar to Kartra, Kajabi also offers a trial except for the fact that it’s free to utilize.
So that’s a quick introduction when it comes to Kajabi and they can help you with.
Let’s now dive a little bit deeper into some of the most powerful Kajabi features.
Kajabi Websites, Pages, And Pipelines
Kajabi vs Kartra websites. Kajabi easily has the upper hand when it comes to creating websites and blogs.
So right from the start, Kajabi is going to have quite a big advantage in one section.
I’m referring to creating websites with Kajabi.
While you can create websites with Kartra, it’s just not a feature worth mentioning.
In fact, I would recommend using WordPress for your websites instead.

So allow me to talk a little bit about what Kajabi offers when it comes to websites.
If you look at the picture that I added above, you can edit your pages in just one section.
Additional Kajabi Benefit: You can also add blog posts that feature SEO benefits too.
Kajabi also comes along with an editor to make appropriate changes to your website.
Have a look at the Kajabi screenshot down below to see exactly what I’m talking about:
Kajabi’s control panel is featured on the left side of the screenshot as shown above.
When it comes to the Kajabi control panel, you’re able to edit:
- Every section of your website.
- The footer section at the bottom of your website.
- There’s even the ability to add exit popups which are very helpful.
Kajabi and Karta: Both platforms allow you to leverage some type of popup feature.
You also have the freedom to edit your template however your little heart desires.
It’s easy to do too, all you’d just need to click on the Add Section button on the page.
There’s nothing too complex about the builder.
In my opinion, that’s a good thing because simple tends to be better with builders.
Kajabi also comes with quite a few professional-looking themes and templates to use.

Kajabi vs Kartra: I’d have to say that Kajabi’s themes look a little bit more professional.
Not by a whole lot though.
Templates are something that I’m always looking for when it comes to builders.
They are important because they allow you to quickly launch your pages or websites.
Templates do most of the work for you, meaning that you’ll only have to focus on:
- Adding or editing the pictures and videos of your landing page or website.
- Changing around the text and perhaps editing the colors for branding reasons.
The themes that Kajabi offers are definitely a big benefit when it comes to getting started.
Aside from that, Kajabi has a feature that’s kind of like their own version of a sales funnel.
This feature is referred to as the Kajabi Pipeline.
The Kajabi Pipeline was simply designed with landing pages and email copy.
Similar to Kartra, the setup of your sales funnels is a pretty straightforward process.
With Kajabi, you’ll just have to follow along with a series of steps on the page.
So both platforms (Kajabi and Kartra) are great for landing pages and sales funnels.
However, I do have to say that Kartra offers more in terms of features and perks.
More about that towards the end though.
This next feature is yet another big reason why so many people like using Kajabi.
Kajabi Courses And Products
So have you ever bought a course online related to internet marketing in general?
If so, then the chances are high that you’ve gone through the Kajabi course process.
This is a pretty powerful feature of Kajabi.
