Let’s begin.
How To Create A ClickFunnels Membership Site (Step By Step Tutorial)
Up above is a ClickFunnels membership site example that I created myself.
So whether you’re already using ClickFunnels or plan on using ClickFunnels?
I’m going to walk you through the steps to set up your simple membership site.
Let’s move onto the first step now.
The ClickFunnels Membership Funnel
You will first need to make sure that you are logged into ClickFunnels:
If you are already logged in, then the link above should take you to your dashboard.
- At the top of the page, hover over the Click Funnels tab and click on Funnels.
- Click on the yellow-colored Add New button towards the top of the page.
A screen should pop-up that looks very similar to the image below:
When this screen shows up:
- Click on + Create New Funnel under the Classic Funnel Builder section.
- In the next popup section you will want to click on Sell Your Product.
- Lastly, click on Membership.
Here is what the last section looks like (where Membership is on the right):
The last part of this step is going to be:
- Give it a name.
- Select a group tag (this part is optional).
Now we are good to move onto the next part of the Clickfunnels membership setup…
Which is all about dressing up your membership site.
Picking Your Clickfunnels Membership Templates
This is the fun part as you will need to pick a template for both:
- The ClickFunnels membership access section.
- As well as the ClickFunnels membership area section.
As you can see from the image above?
You have a total of 6 templates to choose from for the member access section.
Here are 2 templates that I personally like they are both simple and pretty easy to customize.
- Simple Member Access template.
- Simple Membership Access template.
Here is what you need to do:
- Hover over the template that you’d like to use and click on Select Template.
- Now you need to click on the Membership Area tab on the left side of the screen.
You will then need to select a template for your membership are as well.
Here is another screenshot just to make sure that you’re in the right spot:
Once again, my two favorite templates (out of the 5) are going to be:
- Simple Membership.
- Clean Members Area.
You will need to do the same thing in order to pick that template that you’d like to use:
- Hover over the template that you’d like to use and click on Select Template.
You now have both of your templates set up for your new ClickFunnels membership site.
ClickFunnels Membership Site Editing
So allow me to help you when it comes to making any type of edits in your membership.
Here are the essentials which I will reference from the picture above.
Making Edits To Your Membership Page
- You can edit the overall framework of your membership clicking on Open In Editor.
- You can edit any lesson by clicking on open editor next to the appropriate lesson.
Adding New Lessons Or Sections
- Click on Add New Lesson Section to create a new section (bottom right of picture).
- Click on Add New Lesson to create a new lesson (bottom right of picture again).
A section is pretty much like a chapter where you put relevant content in each section.
Lessons are where you’re going to be putting all of your great content.
Allow me to walk you through the process of that.
Adding and Editing Your Lessons
This popup above will be shown after you click on the Add New Lesson button.
I’ll help you through the process of completing each section:
- Lesson Section: Where this lesson will go.
- Name: Give your lesson a spiffy or catchy name.
- Page Template: You can choose from a resource list or video.
And I wanted to address the question:
Is there a ClickFunnels membership drip delay option?
Absolutely, because that’s the next section to fill out:
- Drip Delay: Choose when you want this to be released.
You can leave this blank if you want it available right from the start.
Last is the advanced settings which are pretty self-explanatory as stated in the picture.
Finally, make sure that you click on the big blue CREATE LESSON button at the bottom.
Now that your lesson has been created, click on open editor next to this new lesson.
Here is what it looks like when you go to edit your ClickFunnels membership site lesson:
So editing your membership site is actually a breeze…
Thanks to being able to use the same editor as normal ClickFunnels landing pages.
- Click on what you want to edit.
- Simply edit it by deleting or adding text, images, or videos.
And yet another question when it comes to the lessons section:
Can you host video on ClickFunnels membership page?
Absolutely.
You can embed videos in your membership sites as also seen in the screenshot below:
When it comes to hosting a video you can use:
- Wistia.
- Vimeo.
- YouTube.
- HTML5 video.
- And you can also use a custom embed.
But that’s pretty much the main details when it comes to editing your lessons section.
Everything else is going to be specific and based upon the course that you’ll be uploading.
ClickFunnels Membership Review Conclusion
I hope that this page helped you out with a few things:
- Shown you a few membership site examples.
- Walked you through how to credit and edit a membership site
And now onto the most important question when it comes to this post.
Should I Use ClickFunnels For Membership Websites?
This is going to be up to you and your needs…
But allow me to help you out when it comes to a quick ClickFunnels membership review.
Pros
- It comes with ClickFunnels.
- It’s actually very simple to set up and use (which is a big plus).
Cons
- It’s certainly not the best membership builder in the world…
- And that’s due to its simplicity and not having tons of advanced features.
ClickFunnels is primarily focused on landing pages and sales funnels…
So it’s easy to see why they might have the most advanced features here.
Nevertheless.
It’s still good enough to use if you need a membership site area for your courses.
But once again, that decision will be up to your and your membership area needs.
Plus, you can sue memberships regardless of the ClickFunnels plan that you pick.

So that’s all of the important details when it comes to this specific ClickFunnels topic.
