What Is Launch Jacking Anyway?
What is launch jacking? It’s the process of leveraging hot products to promote (as an affiliate) that are just entering the market.
There’s also something great that you’ll love about this process:
The competition is much lower.
In fact, many times there is virtually no competition for these offers.
The reason for this is because it’s a brand new offer that just hit the market.
Others haven’t had the months and years to:
- Create tons of reviews and have them sit there in Google/YouTube.
- Bid on the product and send ads to them (if allowed).
This is all a big benefit for you.
This is also the reason why products will build up in competitiveness over time.
The absolute best time to promote an offer is right when it first launches.
And that’s just one of the many reasons why this tactic is so powerful.
Launch Jacking Step By Step Tutorial: How To Make Commissions On YouTube
I want to mention something before we get to all of the good details of the process.
Launch jacking can be done in two different ways:
- With a review article as a blog post (for Google).
- With a review video (for YouTube).
In this specific launch jacking tutorial?
I’m going to be showing you how to leverage YouTube to make commissions.
The reason I prefer YouTube over Google is simple:
- It’s much more newbie-friendly.
- It’s a whole lot less work overall.
- I’ve been able to see much quicker results.
And the cost can be virtually nothing too (as long as you have a microphone).
Right now you’re probably anxious to see how this process is accomplished.
Enter step one of the process.
Step 1) Find An Affiliate Offer To Promote
When it comes to launch jacking, you can utilize any niche that you like.
However, some of the most popular offers to promote will be related to:
- Online business.
- Affiliate marketing.
- Internet marketing.
- Make money online.
And there is certainly no shortage of these types of offers as well.
Helpful Note: That’s really good for you as it makes finding an offer much easier.

There are just so many offers for you to promote as an affiliate.
Let me demonstrate with the dates that are used above (in case it’s hard to see):
- On the 15th there are 6 offers to promote as an affiliate.
- On the 16th there are 4 offers to promote as an affiliate.
- On the 17th there are 7 offers to promote as an affiliate.
And so on and so forth.

Either way, you have two main goals when it comes to this step overall:
- Find an offer that you’d like to review and promote as an affiliate.
- Reach out to the owner and ask for a review copy.
Don’t worry, it’s not as hard as it sounds.

Keep in mind that the article above is about requesting to promote JVZoo offers.
However, the method can be used when reaching out to anyone on other platforms.
Let’s take a look at the second step of the process now.
Step 2) Create Your Review Video
So let’s take a quick recap of what we’ve covered in the first step:
- You’ve looked at affiliate producing launching and found the one you like.
- You reached out to the owner and requested review access.
- Lastly, you got your review copy.
Now we get to the fun part when it comes to reviewing the offer for an audience.
Helpful Note: You don’t actually need an audience in order to make this work.
Both YouTube and Google already have an audience of people searching for products.
You’re just going to park yourself right where the traffic is.
I’ll talk about that in the third step.
Until then, there’s not a whole lot that goes into reviewing an offer as an affiliate.
Here are the tools that you’ll need:
- Computer.
- Screen recording software.
- A microphone (which usually comes with most computers).
If your computer doesn’t have a microphone, you can buy a cheap one.
And don’t worry about screen recording software as well.
Here are two options that you can use for free when it comes to your review:
I personally like Free Cam because they are very easy to set up and use.
So what exactly should you talk about in your video review?
Here are some of the biggest essentials when it comes to your video content:
- Give at least two CTAs in your video.
- Review the product (the pros and cons of it).
- Talk about both the features and benefits of using the product.
The first bullet point refers to two calls to action.
This means that you tell your viewers what they are going to be doing.
Examples of CTAs for a product can include:
- Click the link down below to get started today.
- Visit the link that I added below to purchase this product.
Just don’t get too caught up with what you need to say in your product review.
At the end of the day, it’s just you reviewing a product.
Talk like you were talking to your good friend about a product that you like.
So after you complete your YouTube video, we move to the next step.
Step 3) Upload And Optimize Your YouTube Video
As shown in the screenshot that I added above for you:
Drag and drop video files to upload.
Piece of cake.
After you upload your video, the next part is going to be very important.
It’s what allows you to optimize for your video in order to get more views.
Here’s another screenshot where I can walk you through what you want to add:
So in this section of editing your video details, there are two important parts:
- Your title (which is required).
- Your description.
When it comes to your title, you want to add your main keyword first.
Let’s say that the name of the offer you’re promoting is called Affiliate Booster.
That means you want to have Affiliate Booster Review as the first part of your title.
After that, you can either add a few more keywords or a call to action.
Here are a few examples of a title for you:
- Affiliate Booster Review: Is This System Worth It?
- Affiliate Booster Review: Features And Demo Overview
- Affiliate Booster Review: Click Here To See Exactly What You Get
Then you move onto the description.
Here are the two most important parts of this specific section:
- Add your keyword to the top.
- 2 lines under it, add your affiliate link.
Just make sure that your visitors can see your affiliate link at all times.
You don’t want them to have to scroll deeper into the description to find it.
As far as the rest of the description, you don’t have to write a ton here.
What I like to do is add a few sentences that include a few more keywords.
Here is another important section that you’ll want to add to as well:
Tags let’s YouTube know exactly what you’d like to be ranking for.
So make sure that you add them in.
Here are some of the most popular ones when it comes to your videos:
- Keyword review (and reviews).
- Keyword features.
- Keyword pricing.
- Keyword demo.
And those are the most important sections of uploading your video.
I didn’t mention the thumbnail because that’s going to be up to you.
There are a couple of options when it comes to your thumbnail:
- Create your own.
- Use a thumbnail from the video that you created.
I personally like using a thumbnail from the videos that I create.
Overall, it can stand out more and it only takes a few seconds to do.
Either way, finish the process and make sure that your video is public for all to see.
Launch Jacking 101 Conclusion
So does launch jacking work? Absolutely, and it’s a great low-cost way to promote a variety of different affiliate products.
I’ve seen people who make a full-time income just from launch jacking by itself.
That’s how powerful of a method that this can be.
You can also leverage launch jacking when it comes to both:
- Small launches.
- Big launches.
If you are newer when it comes to the wonderful world of affiliate marketing?
I recommend that you start with the small launches first and then move on up.
That will give you a much better advantage when moving forward.
I also want to say one more thing about launch jacking before the end.
Don’t be afraid about being late to the game.
