ClickFunnels Vs WordPress (Explained)
So what are the differences when it comes to ClickFunnels vs WordPress?
There’s actually a lot that goes on when it comes to each tool…
So I’m going to talk about each (and how they can really benefit you).
And by the time you get to the end of the post?
You’ll have a great idea of what you should be utilizing to get the most from your efforts.
ClickFunnels Vs WordPress Introduction
First I’m going to start off with WordPress and talk about the great benefits it comes along with.
After that?
I’ll dive into ClickFunnels and do the same.
Let’s begin.
The WordPress Details
I imagine you know what it’s all about by now:
A widely used platform that helps with creating websites.
In fact, Isolated Marketing Nights even uses WordPress as well (it’s really good)…
But here are some of the features that you surely don’t want to miss out from WordPress
Lightning Fast Websites
This might be quite obvious to you (but for some it’s not).
The reason I bring this up first is for two reasons:
- WordPress is one of the BEST platforms when it comes to creating websites.
- ClickFunnels is not a recommended solution when it comes to websites.
You don’t even need a website to use ClickFunnels.
However.
ClickFunnels does come with the ability to create websites if you want.
Here is a picture of a website template that you can choose from in their platform:
It’s certainly not the worst looking template in the world.
Nevertheless.
- WordPress is primarily built for websites.
- ClickFunnels is primarily for sales funnels.
It should be easy to see who the better choice is when it just comes to websites.
Read More Here: ClickFunnels versus the almighty website.
Let’s move onto another great feature of WordPress.
Blogging Your Heart Out
There’s no other platform that I’d rather use when it comes to blogging…
And that platform, of course, would be WordPress.
WordPress is perfectly set up for creating highly-engaging posts…
All while being able to utilize thousands upon thousands of plugins to help you out as well.
You can blog with ClickFunnels…
But you’re not going to reap as many benefits compared to WP.
Above is another ClickFunnels template, this time for a blogging page.
- Basic.
- Simple.
- Generic.
If you thought that it looked like any of those terms?
Then I’d have to agree with you.
But even though you can always edit and create your own type of templates…
WordPress is still better in both the departments of websites and blogging.
Let’s look at one more massive WordPress benefit.
Organic Traffic Rush
This.
Hands down.
It is one of the BEST features that come along with having a website with WordPress.
Traffic from Google.
You can get a TON of it too when you know what you’re doing…
So much traffic?
That your blog kind of looks like the left lanes in the picture above (which is a good thing):
On the other hand, I wouldn’t personally use ClickFunnels in order to get traffic from Google.
It’s not because ClickFunnels is a bad platform (far from it, you’ll see when I talk about them)…
But more so that they were not created with that in mind.
Let’s flip the script now and take a look at what ClickFunnels is all about.
The ClickFunnels Details
ClickFunnels is all about helping you:
- Create beautiful sales funnels.
- Generate many more leads and then turn them into customers.
They are also software that is run in the cloud so that there is nothing to download.
Now.
Let’s get into some of their big benefits.
Almighty Sales Funnels
Despite the fact it seemed like I am a ClickFunnels “hater” from what I said above…
ClickFunnels is one of the best when it comes to creating high-converting sales funnels.
I use them for all of my sales funnels, as they are just that good.
But what about WordPress, can they do sales funnels too?
- Yes.
- And no.
The reason I say no at first because with JUST WordPress by itself?
Then you’re obviously going to need something else whether it be:
- WordPress plugins or themes.
- Having something custom built.
Plus many people don’t realize that solid sales funnel builders for WordPress cost money.
I’ll talk about the costs of each towards the end of this post…
But just take a look at what it looks like on the inside of one of my funnels:
There’s a total of 53 steps in that funnel.
I’d love to show you the entire picture but it would stretch down a mile long.
The point I’m getting at is that ClickFunnels makes it very easy to create funnels like this.
I remember the days of using WordPress to create sales funnels…
And connecting every moving part was literally a living nightmare.
Alright.
So that’s my blurb when it comes to sales funnels and comparing both platforms.
Here is another solid benefit when it comes to ClickFunnels.
Wonderful Webinars
This is something that WordPress doesn’t do (unless you get an extra plugin)…
And webinar funnels come along with the price of admission to ClickFunnels.
Webinars are one of the best ways to create presentations that help sell higher ticket offers.
You can utilize them in two ways:
- Live webinars.
- Automated webinars (everyone’s favorite).
Plus you get all of the other pages that go along with creating webinars:
- Sign up page.
- Thank you page.
- The live broadcast page.
- The replay page after it’s done.
- Secure check out page (with a killer feature).
- Don’t forget about the membership area too (you can even drip content too).
There’s a LOT of templates when it comes to webinar funnels too.
Here is an example of a spiffy webinar template for you to see:
And once again.
WordPress is capable of doing many of these things…
But you will need to “glue” many moving parts together in order to do it.
I’ve done it before and for me, personally, it was a big pain in the buttocks.
Now, ClickFunnels comes with many more features than what I’ve mentioned.
But I’d like to move onto a very important part of this WordPress vs ClickFunnels post.
What About The WordPress And ClickFunnels Investments?
This is one of the most important sections when it comes to the battle of these two platforms.
After all.
Your decision on what tool to use online can depend on:
- The value you get with it.
- Just how simple the tool is to use.
- Different types of features that come along with it.
And of course, the price can sometimes be a big differentiator.
I get it.
So let’s dig a little deeper when it comes to the expenses that you can expect.
How Much Is ClickFunnels?
The price is pretty straight forward (unless you factor in discounts)…
But here are the two ClickFunnels plans:
- ClickFunnels (basic) is $97 per month.
- ClickFunnels Etison Suite is $297 per month.
In my opinion?
Both of these aren’t a ton when it comes to building and growing an online business.
Plus if you use the ClickFunnels basic plan…
Then you might want to attach an autoresponder to it as I do.
But on the other hand, we have WordPress.
How Much Is WordPress?
A very easy question to answer:
WordPress is free to use.
However.
The rabbit hole goes much deeper because you can’t simply use WordPress all by itself.
At the very least you will need:
- A domain name (about $10 a year).
- And you can’t forget about web hosting (as low as $5 per month).
I’m sure we can all agree that these numbers aren’t going to break the bank.
Not any time soon (at least).
But there are more possible investments that you could make.
- What if you need sales funnels?
- How about if you want to run webinars?
- You can’t forget about secure check out pages for selling offers.
- You’ll most likely want to use an email autoresponder along with WordPress.
I can go on, in terms of membership pages, one-click upsells, order-bumps, etc.
The fact of the matter is this.
WordPress can have plenty more costs to it if you plan on expanding your online business.
So which tool is going to be worth using?
Now that we have plenty of information on each platform…
Let’s move onto the grand finale of this epic comparison post.
ClickFunnels Vs WordPress Conclusion
There’s been a lot of back and forth when it comes to this topic…
So you might have already guessed what I’m going to say about this topic.
Here are my thoughts.
Use ClickFunnels If:
- Sales funnels are your primary concern.
- You love simplicity (when it comes to creating funnels).
- You want an all-in-one platform with everything you need.
- You don’t mind investing a little more to get a lot more in the process.
Use WordPress If:
- You want to create a website.
- There are plans for blogging in the future.
- You want to take advantage of getting traffic from Google.
However.
When it comes to the final decision of who should you use between ClickFunnels or WordPress?
Use BOTH.
Just like I do.
I mentioned in the earlier part of this post that this site is created on WordPress…
As well as every other website that I have.
- I use WordPress for my website, blogging, and traffic.
- And I use ClickFunnels for my landing pages and funnels.
This allows you to get all of the great benefits of each platform…
And it has worked very well for me (which is why I recommend it to you too).
Sounds like something you might like to try?
And I imagine you know what to do when it comes to WordPress.
But one more thing.
